The scholarship aims to provide financial support to candidates belonging to the minority category so that they can carry their education forward. 4. HDFC Badhte Kadam Scholarship for General Undergraduates

HDFC Badhte Kadam Scholarship for General Undergraduates is an initiative from HDFC Bank to provide financial assistance to 9th graders to post-graduate levels but in this section, we’ll discuss only HDFC scholarship for general Undergraduates. 5. The Swami Dayanand Education Foundation Merit-cum-Means Scholarship

The Swami Dayanand Education Foundation Merit-cum-Means Scholarship 2023-24 is a programme established by the Swami Dayanand Education Foundation (SDEF) to offer financial support to students who are enrolled in professional courses such as engineering, medicine, architecture, etc., as well as other undergraduate programmes at both government and private institutions in India.   The primary goal of SDEF is to provide assistance to highly gifted students who are experiencing financial limitations, hence facilitating their ability to engage in and successfully complete their higher education.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Students are required to be enrolled in professional courses such as engineering, medical, architecture, etc., or other undergraduate programmes offered by government or private educational institutions in India.
  2. Applicants are required to exhibit academic brilliance by attaining a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 7.5 or obtaining 75% or more marks in their Class 12 examinations.
  3. The applicants’ annual family income must not surpass INR 6 lakh.

6. The Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Programme for General Graduation and Diploma Students

The Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Programme is an endeavour by Tata Capital Limited to provide financial assistance for the higher education of individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Through this scholarship scheme, students enrolled in Classes 11 and 12, as well as those pursuing regular undergraduate or diploma/polytechnic degrees, will get a scholarship covering up to 80% of their tuition fees. The scholarship amount will range from INR 10,000 to INR 12,000, enabling them to pursue their academic aspirations.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Eligible applicants are students currently enrolled in recognised undergraduate degree degrees, such as B.Com., B.Sc., BA, etc., or diploma/polytechnic courses in India.
  2.  Applicants are required to have achieved a minimum score of 60% in the previous academic year.
  3.  The total annual income of the candidates, including all sources, must not exceed INR 2.5 lakh.

7. BYPL SASHAKT Scholarship

The BYPL SASHAKT Scholarship scheme is an endeavour by BSES Yamuna Power Limited to provide financial assistance for the higher education of individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. The scholarship project provides financial aid of up to 30,000 to students in their last year of undergraduate studies at government colleges in Delhi, regardless of their field of study. The aim is to support their educational pursuits and help them realise their aspirations.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Restricted to Indian citizens currently residing in Delhi.
  2. Applicants must be enrolled in the last year of their undergraduate programme (in any field) at a government institute in Delhi.
  3.  Applicants must have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in their most recent examination.
  4.  The applicant’s total annual family income must not exceed ₹6,00,000, including income from all sources.
  5.  Individuals who are offspring of workers of BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) and Buddy4Study are ineligible.

The scholarship amount is subject to variation on a case-by-case basis, as determined by BYPL. 8. Saksham Scholarship Program for Graduate Students

Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Limited (MMFSL) launched the Saksham Scholarship Programme for Drivers’ Children as a way to help the children of drivers in the community afford to continue their education. By reducing the financial barrier, Mahindra Finance is committed to enabling the academic and career ambitions of children of drivers. Students from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Karnataka who are enrolled in classes 1 through 12 and pursuing degree or postgraduate studies are eligible to apply for the award. A one-time (fixed) financial aid grant of up to INR 20,000 will be given to the chosen scholars to help with their academic expenses.

Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility requirements for Saksham Scholarship Programme for Drivers’ Children are listed below.
  1. Available to students from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.
  2. Candidates must be enrolled in graduation courses in any year (both professional and general).
  3. Candidates must have received at least 60% in their prior course.
  4. All light motor vehicles, small commercial vehicles (such taxis, Jeeps, cars, and delivery vans like pickups, trucks, school vans, etc.), and one of the parents must be a licenced driver.
